Fitness Opportunities

One of the most important things you can do in college is develop a commitment to personal fitness. Fitness is firm grounding for wellness, so if you haven’t been focusing on physical fitness, this is the ideal time to start.

Take advantage of this opportunity to expand your range of physical activities by trying one of our fitness programs. Your body will thank you.

***On Monday, September 8 from 4:30- 5:30 PM, Campus Recreation Service will host a FREE RunSafer clinic in the Johnson Center room J-201.  This program, conducted by two time Olympic distance runner and black belt Todd Williams, will focus on hands on self-defense designed for walkers, runners, and athletes.  You can click here to read about the program in the Post and Courier.  Space will be limited, so please contact Bucky Buchanan at if you are interested in attending.  This program is open to all students, faculty and staff.  Please check out our blog for additional informaiton regarding this event.***

Coming to the fall and spring semesters are 5 and 10k training programs.  Are you looking to train for a fun run or one of the biggest 10k races in the nation? Or perhaps you're looking to meet others?  It does not matter, these training programs will perpare you for the adventures of the Charleston running scene.
